Hillside at Figtree, once an elegant executive residence framed by peaceful heritage gardens, has been fully renewed to become the Illawarra’s most exclusive residential aged care facility. This building now known as Hillside Heritage has been in operation since October 2009 and houses 15 Extra Service Status residential care apartments. A limited number of these apartments become available from time to time.
Stage 2 of Hillside at Figtree, comprising a further 66 residential care places, now offers “ageing-in-place” low and high extra service status residential care. Accommodation is provided in a variety of configurations including single ensuite and spacious couples accommodation – many with private terraces overlooking Wollongong.*
